In just a couple days, we will be heading on a weekend getaway to Hilton Head Island. I’ve never been but let me just say, this trip could not have come at a better time. Warm weather and some R&R? Don’t mind if I do. So for those of you who also have an upcoming weekend getaway planned, I’m breaking down my key pieces to help make packing for your trip a breeze! Because let’s be honest…. If we don’t go over this now, we’ll all just end up over-packing and bringing our entire closets with us. (Nobody wants those problems.)

THE BASICS

Comfy, but cute is my M.O. when I’m traveling. There are items that are always on my packing list, no matter the destination or season—and they have become my go-to when gearing up for a long car ride or flight.
– Denim Jeans (these are the comfiest pair of jeans I own!)
-White Button Up like this
-A good tote like this
-Sneakers like these
– OR Flats or Mules like these
-And a light layer like this or this

Easy & Interchangeable Pieces

Whenever we go on trips, I make sure to pack pieces that are effortless and interchangeable – which is exactly the kind of ease that I want on vacation.
The key is to narrow it down and plan your outfits ahead!
– Pick two to three blouses, like this or this.
– A dress that can be dressed up or down, like this.
– A pair of jeans, like this.
– A skirt or shorts.
– A sweater like this or denim jacket like this.
– Last but not least, narrow your shoe list down to 3 pairs—a comfy pair for walking, flats, sandals like this or mules, and wedges to dress up one night.

All items should be able to easily be mixed and matched with each other.

Besides the obvious essentials like pjs, socks/undies, phone charger, hygiene/hair/make up products on my packing list, there are things that I absolutely can’t go anywhere without… And this travel steamer has quickly become one of them! My Little Steamer is my favorite tool to pack when we are going on a trip! It keeps me from worrying about my clothes getting wrinkled, it’s lightweight, extremely easy to use and works just as great as a full-size steamer. This is a must-have for your upcoming travels.
