Finally revealing Justin’s home office remodel! Justin and I both primarily work from home — at our old house, we had to turn a bedroom into his office and I just worked from the sofa or our dining table. Neither of which was exactly ideal. So when we were house hunting, we knew we both needed a dedicated and functional work space this time around. My job is flexible, so we really needed to get Justin’s office space set up first. This room we turned into his office was used as a painting studio before, so we immediately saw the potential for it to be a great home office for him. After a lot of work, of course! So some wallpaper, wainscoting, paint, and a new light fixture later…. we turned this dated, traditional space into his dream office! Keep reading for the full run-down on Justin’s home office remodel!
Here you can see what the space looked like before we moved in. Really dark, traditional and in need of some updating. So, I installed this plaid wallpaper from Wayfair, which was very easy to work with and had minimal waste. Justin installed the chair rail and beadboard wainscoting panels. Which I painted Extra White by Sherwin Williams in satin. We also changed out the light fixture to this Piedmont Lantern in Antique Bronze from Ballard Designs. And added this stunning, large Printer’s Key Hole Desk from Pottery Barn in seadrift.
These changes made such a big impact in this space and Justin is so happy with the results! He even has gotten compliments on his zoom calls!
